First Grade is hosting a Community Ribbon Cutting and Business Expo. The celebration of learning will begin in the Art Room with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a viewing of an amazing community designed by the first grade architects. We will then proceed to the respective classrooms where we will host a Business Expo.
Our first grade entrepreneurs have been investigating our Driving Question: Which businesses are needed in the community and why? They have also been examining what is the best location for their business and why? You will discover the answers to these significant questions at our Business Expo. Our future business leaders will present their business proposal to all of the Business Expo attendees. You will have the opportunity to learn about 16 new business ideas from our innovative first graders.

Third graders have been learning about access to books and education in other countries and cultures. This has been an eye-opener for all and has lead students and teachers alike to feel very grateful for their own educations and access to books! As they finished up their learning, they wrote paragraphs about what they learned and had their work published in a magazine. Be sure to stop by our Magazine Launch Party in the MPR next Thursday evening as they sell and autograph their magazine.
