Tuition & Affordability
Summit is an independent, non-profit school.
That means 100% of tuition and donations go directly to the incredible experience Summit provides. Summit is one of the only independent, non-profit schools in the Valley.
Affordability
Summit believes every qualified student should have access to an exceptional education, regardless of financial circumstances. There are multiple resources available, for families of all income levels, that can significantly offset the cost. 2025-2026 Tuition ResourcesArizona Private School Tax Credit Program
Arizona’s tax credit program makes private school education more accessible by allowing taxpayers to redirect a portion of their state tax liability to a School Tuition Organization (STO) as a dollar-for-dollar tax credit. Families can apply to an STO, solicit contributions recommending their child, and use the awarded funds to offset tuition at Summit School. Donors benefit by choosing how their tax dollars are spent, and families gain financial flexibility.
Donors can contribute up to $2,910 (Married Filing Jointly for 2024), and individual students can be recommended by multiple donors*
Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA)
Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program provides state-funded scholarships to help families cover the cost of their child’s education. Any student enrolled in K-12 private school may apply for an ESA award. ESA cannot be used at the same time as the Arizona Private School Tax Credits. ESA can be especially powerful for families with multiple K-8 students, as each student is eligible for their own award.
Amounts vary, but can be upwards of $7,500+ per student.**

FAQ
How Is Tuition Determined?
Tuition is set annually following a thorough review of the school’s budget and previous financial performance. This ensures we cover the cost of providing Summit’s high-quality education, including faculty, programs, and facilities. We strive to remain fiscally efficient while staying true to our mission. As a non-profit, all tuition and donations directly fund our exceptional learning experience.
Does Summit offer payment plans?
Yes, tuition can be paid in full or through two, ten, or twelve-payment plans. There is no fee for full payment, but a $30 fee applies to each payment in other plans.
Are there additional fees beyond tuition?
Yes, additional fees include a supply fee ($450), PTO fee ($90), and optional program costs such as extended day and mini-camps. Payment fees ($30/payment) apply to payment plans if tuition is not prepaid in full. Credit credit card processing fees may also apply.
Is there a discount for families with multiple children?
Yes, the oldest child pays full tuition, with a 10% discount for younger siblings.
What financial aid options are available?
Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESA) and Tax Credit Scholarships are available to most students through the State of Arizona. Both options can significantly offset the cost of tuition. Summit also offers in-house need-based financial aid.
Are there income restrictions for financial aid?
Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESA) and Tax Credit Scholarships currently have no income limits for eligibility. Qualification is based on criteria such as student needs, school type, or residency, and the majority of our families qualify. In-house financial aid, however, is need-based and subject to availability.
Can tuition be paid using ESA or Tax Credits?
Yes, ESA and Tax Credit funds can be applied toward tuition.
Can tax credits and ESA funds be used together?
No, families must choose one program to apply toward tuition per school year. However, families are still able to solicit donations through the Tax Credit Scholarship program for future use, even while using ESA funds. Contact a School Tuition Organization (STO), such as Institute for Better Education (IBE) to learn more.
