Parent Education Presentation – iGen: Who Are They? How to Reach, Teach, and Support our Kids to be Real World Ready

February 26, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Parent Education: iGen: Who Are They? How to Reach, Teach, and Support our Kids to be Real World Ready. iGeneration kids have enormous opportunities in our rapidly evolving world, and data shows that they need social-emotional skills to keep pace with their academic growth. Join us Tuesday, February 26th at 6:00 pm in the Knowledge Center for a presentation from Katey McPherson on how to cultivate your student’s sense of self-worth, self-advocacy, coping and resilience, as we prepare them to become real-world ready. Parent takeaways will include: how to foster coping and resiliency skills; how to empower your student to self-advocate as well as advocate for others; and how to embrace a growth mindset as a partner in education with Summit staff. Don’t miss this important message for parents of all ages. Childcare will be provided for this event.
