Leadership & governance.
Board of Trustees.
The Summit School Board of Trustees provides stewardship and governance in support of Summit’s mission, long-term strength, and continued success. Our volunteer trustees bring a wide range of professional experience and perspectives to their work on behalf of the school community.
As an independent, nonprofit school, Summit is governed locally. Working in partnership with the Head of School & Head of Operations, the Board provides financial and strategic oversight, helps safeguard Summit’s mission and vision, and supports the school’s long-term sustainability.

Founding board members Tim Crown and Bill Andrew, pictured with Heidi Crown at a Summit School alumni event, continue to serve Summit as members of the Board of Trustees.

Contacting the Board.
The Summit School Board of Trustees welcomes feedback, ideas, and questions from parents, staff, and members of the Summit community.
Because the Board’s role is governance rather than day-to-day school operations, questions involving students, staff, curriculum, or classroom matters should generally be directed first to the appropriate school administrator or Head of School.
For matters within the Board’s purview, contact board@summitschoolaz.org. We will make every effort to respond appropriately within 48 hours.
