What are the best summer camps?
Summer camps can change lives, and the best local camps provide equal opportunities for participants to socialize, learn, and have fun in a supportive environment. Exciting summer programs for kids are engaging and designed for their age range. Local summer camps in Phoenix typically target one of these aspects. We don’t limit our programs to one area, and that’s what makes summer camp at Summit School of Ahwatukee so exciting.
What types of summer camps do we offer?
Because age similarity is so important for socialization and interest levels we’ve separated our different summer camp programs by age-group. This guarantees your child will be enrolled with children their own age, providing them with the opportunity to make strong friendships that last the rest of their life.
Our age-based programs and activities are designed around the camper. We offer:
- Age-appropriate programming. This includes field trips, activities, on-site guests, and much more.
- Highly trained counselors
- Middle school programs based on surveys results from current middle school students
Summer camp for preschoolers
Preschool summer camp programs are ideal for children returning to preschool or beginning their educational journey. Activities are designed to teach them self-sufficiency while building their confidence when engaging with other children and the greater Phoenix community.
Activities will include:
- Structured play and activities taught by our own preschool and elementary school teachers.
- Special entertainers and guests every single week!
Summer camp for pre-k
Camp programs for pre-kindergarten campers prepare them for entry into kindergarten. Not only will they take part in activities designed to help them engage with their education, they will also take field trips with the elementary school camp. This helps socialize them with older children before school begins and make the transition into their first year of school seamless and easy.
Summer camp for elementary students
Elementary school summer camp is designed to engage students on their level. A diverse curriculum includes options for students, so they can help to shape their own program and pursue what interests them most.
Activities will include; Culinary arts, Dance, Dodgeball, Fort building, Talent shows, and more.
Summer camp for middle school students
Our summer programs for middle schoolers are designed by them and for them. These programs are created to be fun, educational, and build strong friendships during this pivotal age.
Activities will include: Trips to the water park, socializing, movie theater events, bowling, the science center and other adventurers that connect them with all the safe and fun activities Phoenix has to offer.
