Preschool Learning in Tempe Begins Here
Preschool aged children are full of energy and curiosity. At Summit School of Ahwatukee our preschool curriculum uses this to help them learn. Play-based learning engages our students and helps them develop by making the act of learning interactive and fun. As an NAEYC accredited preschool in Tempe our preschool program is tailored to employ your child’s senses, spark their interest, and inspire students aged 2 ½ to 5 to learn and mature.
Our preschool programs integrate nature into the everyday.
Our expansive playground/park area is designed specifically for developing preschoolers. It serves multiple purposes, acting as a play area and outdoor classroom. Using engagement based lessons and multisensory tables we can improve a child’s gross motor skills and social skills. This interactive educational style at our private school promotes sharing and helps to establish friendships and lasting bonds from a young age.
Preschool activities and lesson plans promote growth in areas that include:
- Cognitive abilities
- Language acquisition
- Physical capabilities
- Social and emotional well-being
- Social studies
A Preschool Syllabus You Can Work With
Our preschool teachers know that a set schedule doesn’t work for every family. That’s why our class options are variable and include three as well as five days a week schedules. We also offer pre-school care and after-school care programs. This allows you to provide your child with a leading education and the head start they need without sacrificing your schedule to do it. That same dedication to your child’s education carries on into our kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school programs.

Our noted Toddler Discoveries program brings 18 – 36-month-old children and their adult companions into the classroom together. This is a fantastic way to experience the learning process with your child. Our Toddler Discoveries preschool program meets every week and involves parents in hands-on education through play, story time, group singing, and more. Helping your child to grow and learn creates a tightly founded educational bond they’ll carry forward to the next generation.
Studies have shown that parental involvement is a critical factor in the success of preschool-aged children. That’s why we encourage a partnership between parents and our teachers. Regular communication keeps you involved and knowledgeable about the continuing education of your child. Our greatest accomplishment is the success of our students. Our compassionate, degreed, experienced preschool teachers work tirelessly to make sure your child succeeds. That same dedication is what leads our summer camp programs as well.
